| Johnson, Kunkel & Associates, Inc.’s interest lies in creating buildings that are highly functional, comfortable, healthy living environments, are energy and resource efficient and well adapted to their surrounding environment. Sustainable design considerations are given to the choice of materials, the scale and placement of building, the economic constraints and the intended functions of the building. Some people refer to this as “green building”. We like to think of it as just good common sense design.
We design buildings for commercial and institutional use, single and multi-family homes, and municipalities. We develop three-dimensional computer models of the building and integrate with the site topography to clearly communicate the design with owners, builders and regulatory agencies. From the computer model, well-coordinated construction drawings are extracted efficiently. Revisions are managed effectively because the drawings retain an active link to the model.
